I made a wiring diagram earlier in the thread, showing how to wire in diodes to use the light as a signal and marker light.

The cab light harness plugs in towards the top, although the plug changed throughout the years so you'll have to take a test light to figure out which cavity it is.

Cool thanks for the info! I will prob be doing lighted towz and clearance lights on my '89

I would love to do the cab lights on mine too...in fact I really want to, but then I don't wanna cut holes in my roof. :hmm: I'm just afraid that I'll screw up on it.

Anyone have a set of 2nd gen dodge mirrors on their truck? On the right truck they are all sorts of right.

Great White does. Not sure if he posts on here much anymore though. He posted on here a few times then suddenly clammed up on both here and the Truckstop

Yeah, not sure what really happened with BJ (greatwhite). He has a huge article on his install on the truckstop, I think i linked it earlier on in the thread (http://www.thetruckstop.us/forum/sho...rs-on-a-GMT400) but it appears he took the images down.

I've driven and towed with both the GM mirrors and dodge mirrors, and I can honestly tell you the GM style mirrors are so much better to see out of. The dodge ones don't offer as good of a view and their convex mirror isn't nearly as useful.

Just the other day i was at work looking at a broke mirror from a new truck thinking i could modify it to fit my 98. Searched ebay and found found the mirrors. Did a bunch more searching and found this thread. Been reading for 2 days to read it all.

Has anybody found out if the signal glass will fit in these mirrors? Also what brand are they? Is one brand better than another or is there only one manufacturer. I was talking to one of our suppliers they sell kool view and didnt offer this mirror for my truck. I will prob be getting a set for christmas :) Power no signal unless i get it in the glass.

I will do some digging at work to see if i can find a mirror for pics to compare
