ECT sensor

Info is displayed as "Coolant Temperature Sensor" (CTS) not "Engine Coolant Temperature" (ECT)

Harness and ecm could be faulty. I hope the scan tool isn't faulty. Its brand new and with what i paid for it it better not be or snapon is going to get a 2700 dollar scanner shoved up there rear end. Now that you say it does show a coolant temp sensor pid. For some reason i was thinking of the one for the gauge is the one it was showing. I guess i was being dumb and didn't think of it that way.

Maybe another vehicle can be checked with scanner to see if it reads the ECT?

It does show on another vehicle and on this one. I was playing around with it on both my trucks and was getting the reading. Now that schurkey made my brain work it is showing the info i was looking for i was just being dumb. Now i just need to get a break for other projects to get hooked back up to it and look at it again.
