Hey guys so recently I've been thinking about getting a new computer for my truck in an attempt to fix my harsh transmission shifting.
Can anyone tell me the interchangeability, if there is any, between the pre vortec computers.
My truck is a 93 c1500 5.7/4L60E
My dad has a 94 c1500 5.74L60E ; could i swap his computer into mine just to see if it changes my situation? I don't want to flat out buy a computer to test to see if it fixes the problem or not. Since his truck is convenient to rob the computer out of I figured i would try that first. If it does I would buy a new computer but I want to test one first.
