Ecm delete f to keep abs

Does anyone know if you have to keep the factory ecm to retain the abs on a 98,I'm doing a ls swap and would like to dispose of it if I can! I'm running an aftermarket efi.

I don't have an answer to that question. I hate abs with a passion so I would be happy to lose it lol. I don't know why everyone that does an ls swap wants an aftermarket computer. An 0411 or p59 can be tuned with a $100 or under dongle and free software. The aftermarket computers leave **** on the table as far as tuning. Yes they do it themselves but are far from perfect. L31maxexpress has just been there. I guess no one wants to take the time or effort to tune
