Drop springs q?'s

I can't seem to find any info to my question. I have a 98 Sierra singel cab
Std cab. 2wd. My friend has a pair of 3 inch drop springs from a 99-06 silverado STD 2wd. I peeked under and they look like they might fit. But I rather get advice from you guys. So will they work maybe even with a Lil modification? Thanx guys

I have not tried it, but I have seen them out of the truck, I do not think they will fit.
