dome light in 94 rclb

So I have the dome light with the two lights with the buttons to power them. Today I was messing with it trying to hook up my over head console lights. While taking out the while casing of the dome light along with the side lights I broke one side and now no light hahah. Has anyone done anything custom with the dome lights? I'm gonna be installing white led strip under the dash anyways and was wondering can I just have one light for the dome? Idk if this makes sense or not haha.
