Just got this ol girl running again...been down for 3 years. Glad to have her back! New transmission being built as we speak, since this one is about shot...still driving it to work...just have to baby it on the highway till new transmission is built

I refuse to pay 80-100k for a new 3/4 ton pickup!!!

Nice truck, I have the slightly larger version!
I have a couple grand in it after purchase, but it does what I need it to and I don't have payments. It's not perfect, probably never will be, but it's a work truck and it's mine.

Saw these Saturday and yesterday....
The black truck is what I would call a "typical H Town OBS"; the teal one was at Meyerland Plaza and was pretty nice.

These were seen today, going across Houston to get goodies....I actually saw several more working 400s that I couldn't photograph quickly enough. North Shepherd and North Houston between 610 and the Beltway are 400 'hoods. Across the street from the yard is a shop that had like 4 in the front yard, but I didn't want to chance a picture (place looks a lil rough).

And.... coming around the corner to get to the yard, we saw this GORGEOUS '33/'34 Ford coupe. The paint on this car was like black glass! I know this brother spent some time making this one pretty this morning. Sounded like a healthy Chevy motor under the hood, nice burble to the pipes.
I want to look at this one closer fo sho!

Yep my windows are dirty, this was before it rained good on the way home and rinsed em off! Then we got home and not a drop here....

Finally saw one of Rawhide's twins, long enough to catch a picture! This one apparently just got sold or re registered because it has brand new plates on it. Also has a bit of body damage.... maybe it got wrecked, totalled and resold? Since the driver's side doors are gold and the rest of it's pewter....
They mounted the front plate on the side like @SUBURBAN5 did, maybe this one came from LA where they don't use a front plate.

I was kinda being sarcastic! I think there may be two of these trucks in the area besides ours, because I don't remember in the prior sightings, it being that beat up or having the different color doors.
Only other scenario that makes sense, is the one I posited before; that it was wrecked, totalled and resold, with the doors replaced (maybe they were badly damaged enough to not open?).
Doesn't really matter in the grand scheme of things, but it's interesting to wonder about. The guy driving it was in a hurry, he had his foot in the throttle, trying to get back out on the street.
