1994 GMC YUKON 4WD

Traded in old cv axles on some remanufactured CV axles from Napa and after 3 trips finally got a matching pair. Want do that again unless its a broke axle."Trouble" being when installing the remanufactued cv axles there hanging on the edge of the seal and folding them back. Anyone had this problem before? Seals came from Orielly's. Getting some Napa seals to see if there is any difference.

If you are installing new seals in the back side of the knuckle in conjunction with replacing the cv axles and have trouble with the pressed on dust cover/seal shim hanging on the new seal then here is what I did. Take a hammer and lightly tapp the leading edge of the dust cover/seal shim all the way around and this should taper the edge so it will slip inside the new seal. Your new cv axles should rotate fairly easy once installed if not then your new seals on the back of the knuckle have probably folded inward and will not last long.
