cruise control

Maybe somebody can answer my question by sending me a link to an installation thread? I've used the search but the results are other people's unanswered questions, but I know it has been done.

I have access to a donor '95 Yukon that has cruise control, will the '95 cruise work on a '98 since it went from being TBI to Vortec? I know I'll need the box with the cable that's on the firewall, the wiring harness that goes to the firewall, the turn signal stalk and the switch on the brake, but is the steering column pre-wired for the cruise? Thanks

No the cruise unit from a TBI won't work on a vortec the cable is much different on a vortec, also the inside wiring is different.
