I like chrome to everyone blacks everything out I'm not a fan of the black out or murdered out look when I redo the paint body on my 98 Z71 I'll be doing the stainless steel side chrome package new grille and smoothie front bumper chrome of course..What can I say? Heat gun and fishing line (higher # test line). Heat up chrome from outside and pull the line with both hands back and forth underneath the chrome like flossing your teeth. May need another person for the heat gun.I am not even a fan of these chrome, stick on bed protectors. They are attached w 3M tape. I'd love to remove them but don't want to damage the paint. (Not to hijack but any ideas are welcome)
