I screwed up my 'O' ring on my clutch recycle switch while replacing it.
Went to parts store to pick up a set of 'O' rings to replace. It was late and raining, so didnt restart until this morning.
All of my R134A had evacuated to the driveway.
Pressed the valve in low/hi side of A/C system...nothing, completely empty.
I just vacuumed the system and letting it set to check for leaks.
Now my question, I have heard/read that with a sudden R134A loss you should replace a much as 3 Oz of oil.
This over nite loss, I'm treating as a sudden loss.
Anyone have any input as to how much oil I should replace?????
I'm thinking 2 Oz.
I'll be feeding it thru the Yellow filler hose.
My other question is the amount of R134A to add for 99 Yukon.
I think last time I added 64 oz.
Always seemed like a lot considering the the 2000-2001 was 48 Oz, 2002 was 42 Oz, 2003-2004 was 43 Oz.
All of these are with front and rear air.
Anyone verify the 64 Oz charge?????
Thanks for any assist in advance, Appreciate it.
Ron
