CD Player to Storage Cubby

Is there any kit that lets you take out the stock CD player and make it into a storage cubby, like on newer trucks?

I have an aftermarket stereo in mine (97 interior) and I don't have use for the stock CD player, I would like a nice in dash storage, for a phone or GPS mount or something.

There's not a kit that i know of, but trucks without the cd player had a pocket there. They are pretty easy to come by in a salvage yard. I could send ya one if you want. Just cost + shipping....

Got mine from the stealership. Both parts. The box, & the small transition piece. Cheap. Less than $30.00.

This one is listed as fitting '96 trucks, shouldn't it also fit a '97?

But ya pickings are slim on ebay and it may just be easier to get from a pick n pull haha

I'm pretty sure they are all the same 95+ I can't really give you a price till I go get one. I'm positive it won't be more than $10-15 shipping an all. I think the last one i got was $2-3....

You'd think, but I enter my information in and it says it is not compatible with my 1997 Silverado.

I'm almost 100% sure it would fit, but that one on LMC is cheaper anyways haha
