Ask Phillip. He'll know for sure. He talked about a spacer but I don't remember anything about the rivets

The carrier bearing crossmember can be welded in place from the top. Then the rivets can be ground down smooth.

I left the rivets and built a spacer out of 2x2 square tubing.

Thanks guys, yeah ill weld it in place and grind the rivets. That crossmember doesn't have to be removed anytime anyways. I have a 2" carrier bearing spacer and a 1" transmission spacer already installed
