i know this has probably been beat to death but i just want an answer that is short. i am looking to put a 140 amp alternator in my 1993 full size blazer but im not an expert on this so will the 140 amp running to my isolator(200) amp ruin any wiring? fry anything? sorry if this has been talked about before. im looking at a powermaster alternator to be specific.

It will not ruin anything. Try this site instead though http://www.motorcityreman.com/ I've got a 240 amp alternator for a ford escort I put a sound system in. They are local to me but they do ship. They rebuild most of the alternators and starters themselves in their shop so it is a very good quality product. Plus you would be helping the Detroit (and American) economy. I would pay more just for that fact.

Excessive Amperage, amazing, fast, good prices. They can do 200-300 amp bolt ins easily.
