I have a 98 1500, I have 33's and getting 10 mpg city, does that sound about right? (305)

Well I have a lead foot haha and with the 4:11s and 31,a that are MUDs it's prolly my problem haha

Well my old 98 1500 with the 5.7, 4L60e and 3.73 gears got the same as your 2500. I normally would get about 11.5 in town and 14-15 on the highway if I drove right. The 4.11 gears hurts the gas mileage, but it's also a 2500 with just a 5.7 so the gears are pretty much needed if you tow or haul anything. I think it being just a 350 with the 4L80 and 4.11 are what's making it seem bad. It's just a lot of low gear ratios in the axle(s) and in the trans which just make up for the 350. Just like how my old 86 had a weak 305 with a low axle gear and "granny" manual transmission that was made for work and not for the highway.

So all in all, you probably should be happy you're getting what you're getting and that it's not all that bad for what you have.
