Anyone else have this noticeable gap above their ashtray? It kind of looks like the previous owner carved on it a bit.

Definitely looks like someone cut on it. Maybe they mounted something like a CB in there or something.

That was an option in the southern part of the US. It's so you can store your corn cob pipe and still close the ash tray.

Maybe the previous owner had some screws loose, like the ones under the ashtray!
