I hate to do this because there’s so many but I’ve been searching for half an hour straight and can’t find the answers I need.

I’m in the middle of putting a ORD 4” shackle flip on my 95 2500. I’m guessing I’m supposed to cut the secondary bracket off that lines up with the stock shackle-leaf spring bolt?

I’ve seen someone mention that it’s a great idea to actually put the rear bolt holes of the new shackle in the front holes on the frame, and drill new front holes. But I only saw that in one thread, so I’m unsure. Can anybody elaborate on this please?

I definitely do tow from time to time as well, for what it’s worth. Don’t go off-road really though.

Here’s the bracket in question about cutting off. It does not line up with the ORD pivot bolt location regardless

Cut that bracket off.
The ORD brackets have already moved the Mount point forward so don’t drill new holes (you do have to enlarge them a hair)

got mine powder coated lol

I put my ORD flip brackets in the stock location and added heavy half/light 2500 rear springs. It's noticeably stiffer then my old worn out 1500 springs but it rides fine as-is. I havn't towed since then but I can say it does handle a bed loads just fine.
