IT’S ALIVE! New fuel pump module and fuel filter today. I got lucky dropping the tank, as its entire contents consisted of about 1/2 cup of nasty varnish. Engine started, revved, and ran smoothly.

Warmed it up and checked functions. Everything took a bit of switch-fiddling, but everything seems to work. Transmission was very slow to engage but after a bit it started reacting more quickly. Tomorrow I’ll start my full fluid & filter changes.

Oh.. and even the A/C is blowing cold air. SCORE!

No real surprise that there was no fuel pressure. I’m not very smart but I think the Bluetooth connector from the pump to the feed line might have been an issue.

The new stuff. I’m still waiting for what happens to the aluminum bodies. I know in the big trucks it pushes the aluminum apart and you really don’t have anything to repair it’s just replace replace replace
Like most things these days... built-in obsolescence. Like a Bic lighter.

Many hours with a buffer and clay bar today. I’ve got a PDR guy coming next week to straighten out the few wrinkles. I also got the sliding rear window out this morning. Glass guy is putting a solid dark rear window in soon. I’m about 95.2% certain that I’ll be rebuilding the transmission but I’m hoping that once I get it good and warm the seals might loosen up and get me a reliable reverse engagement.
