Aluminum driveshaft

Any one know where to find one?? Summit doesn't carry anything neither does jegs...

My 96 with a 14 bolt has one. I also believe 5 speed trucks came with one. Scrap yard time!

Probably have to swap the yoke to the trucks original, as IIRC the auto's & stick trucks have a different spline count.

Mines auto but i have to get 5 speed u joints. Maybe yolk is just different?

There was no rhyme or reason as to which trucks got aluminum and which trucks good steel, or that I know of.

From what I have noticed (may not be 100% true.....) 94+ ECSB z71s got the aluminum shaft. I would imagine a non z71 ECSB would have one too but i have not seen any.....

has absolutely nothing to do with Z71...

my 1995 ECSB 4x4 with F44 had one, non-Z71, really base truck.

my 1994 ECSB 4x4 with F44, non-Z71, quite loaded truck, had steel.

I wasn't sure but I was just stating what I have noticed.

I have never seen one on a regular cab or long box truck...... good to know though...
