Swap tires front to rear and rear to front , see if the problem follows the tires. Check the wheels to make sure that one of them is not bent.

Apologies, I thought the later GMT400s had separate hubs and rotors.2wd rotors dont have separate hubs. They're 1 piece...
Nope. Separate hub and rotor started with the GMT800's. All the 400 2wd's had serviceable bearings too. A coworker of mine has a 2wd '99 Tahoe...Apologies, I thought the later GMT400s had separate hubs and rotors.
The (Raybestos) drums that I put on my K2500 a couple of years ago were garbage from the factory. Crazy how out of round they were.
Does the vibration happen at any speed-high-low?Schurkey, Im beginning to think it might not be the brakes. May be something in the steering linkage. I just cannot pin it down to what it is. My brake pedal is really good and brakes work great. This truck has 67,000 original miles on it. Was bought by my father in law in 97 and he passed away 3 weeks later. My mother inlaw used it but it really has not been driven in years. Was parked under a carport and she never wanted to sell it. She gave it to me 2 months ago.
