I'm sure someone's done this before, but this is how I did it. Two 52mm gauges fit perfectly in the aftermarket radio delete compartment.

Compartment from Crutchfield. Dual Gauge mount from VDO.

This is what I'm planning to use once I figure out where to move my phone mount. Currently have a ram mount bolted to the bottom plate of the cubby.

How long have you had them? I've looked at those but the reviews are pretty iffy compared to the Dakotas.
I'm interested in the response as well. But they are like 1/2 price over Dakota's. Sometimes you get what you paid for.

When I put them in they acted funny, almost looked into getting a refund

But I noticed the voltage reading would drop abnormally low even for a OBS truck lol (10-11 volts)and for the record never any issues with the factory gauges.
Checked voltage and ground, everything checked out fine just voltage drop low around 12 volts on my scope

So I decided to run a independent ground to cluster and a independent power from under hood distribution block, through a relay with the factory power wire to cluster to turn on relay.

After that no more issues other then coolant temp is about 10 degrees off which is no issue for me, and speedometer lags under WOT but the not so stock 8.1 moves the truck fairly quick, don't think it would be an issue with a stock truck

Before i built my cluster, i looked at the intellitronix. If they had made the 88-94 gauges loo like the 95-98 i wouoda gone that route, but the tach that just wrapped around the speedo with no actual reading is what made it no go for me. Even buyibg individual gages and custom build the look didnt quite look rite
