i want to grab the skidplate off of a z71 at the yard, but it is sitting on the ground and so the bolts are not very accessible.
Are they the same size and pattern as on the transfercase skid plate? And is there a nut holding the bolt on the topside? Or is it a insert in the frame?

the front bolts thread into the front of the frame and the rear bolts thread into an adapter that fits under one of the front diff mounting bolts. There are not any nuts ( on my trucks at least)

So they are not torx bilts but 15mm hex bolts?

And ill have to get the front diff mounting bolt out for the bracket to come free?

You just have to take the nut for the lower diff mount bolt off to get the bracket off. It is a "L" shaped bracket
