98 silverado complete loss of power

I have a 98 Silverado 4x4 with a 5.7 and 4L60e. Replaced engine, trans, fuel pump, and rear end. Had small timing issue. Solved that then last night went to go to store, got in truck turned key and heard a click and everything went dark. No power to anything, but the OBD plug. What the hell is going on? Without my scanner I’m lost.

That could be a bad connection at the battery or ground.

I will all but guarantee it's a ground. Check all of them.

Leave the key on and wiggle the battery cables at the battery. Don't be surprised if you hear relays clicking and the truck coming back to life. This would be indicative of a dirty and/or loose connection. Happens to me every so often. I think I wimp out tightening the screws out of fear of stripping the battery.

Changed terminals and cleaned the wires. Truck fired right up. Thank you all for the help.
