yeah me and my stepdad took a 1992 k2500 suburban that had a 94 drivetrain swaped into it pulled it out and cut the front half of the frame off then we took a 1994 c2500 that was born a 6.5 turbo diesel pulled the drivetrain from it and cut front half of that frame off and grafted the suburban front end to the back half of the pick-up frame and put in the 4x4 drivetrain now we are tring to get running. 6 inch suspension lift 3 inch body lift 37 tires

Interesting why not just have kept the frame one peice then just swapped in the 6.5. Not judging just curious. How will it pass inspection with all that done to it. Very interesting build i dig it just curious.

we needed another work truck as a back/offroader and a pickup was more useful for us then the suburban and we also wanted 4wd. the 6.5 was no good but it donated parts to our 97 K-3500 6.5 we could have done a body swap but the frame langths are not the same a suburban frame is shorter then a ex- ab long bed frame now it has a 454 we could do a carb swap and a standalone controler for the 4l80e but we would rather get the tbi system going if we can

Chances are it was likely swapped in with a driveshaft from a donor truck or someone bought a driveshaft online or at a dealer and swapped it in for whatever reason.

With such a large driveshaft, do you have a 14 bolt Semi Float rear axle in your truck? The way to check is either A. look under your truck and count the bolts, or B. Click the link I sent you regarding the VIN lookup and check your RPO codes on there. They're all alphabetical and look for F44 which is the heavy duty package.

I didn't originally have a 14 bolt Semi Float until I had it installed by my Buick GMC shop. It's a great mod to do and they're very strong and reliable. Highly desired by racers and off roaders alike. However, very few shops will do this. I only got mine done out of the good ol' boy system and easily would've been denied had I not been the person I was with the reputation I have. Chances are you'll likely have to do this with a friend or family member helping you out.
Like i said shes beefy
