I replaced the trans in my silverado 2wd with a bolt on (removable) early style bellhousing for the 5.7, my truck came with a solid bellhousing from the factory. The new trans works and shifts fine but I have a knocking/clicking noise coming from the bellhousing, Ive checked for loose bolts & have yet to find any. The noise seems to happen more at idle, I used the tc from the new trans that was supplied by the trans shop. Please help with any suggestions

Check for cracks around fly wheel bolt area mine was doing the same thing till it fell down.

Thanks that is the only thing I havnt checked, have a project for the weekend now!!

Could also be a cracked flexplate. Makes an identical noise.
