Is there an easy way to fit the 96 K1500 trany in a 93 K1500?

What do I swap out?

Do I just swap the drums/clutches and pump?

Mine is shifting ok when cold but hot is slipping and no third.

Thanks
Steve

It will physically bolt in. So I guess the easy way would be to run a aftermarket controller.

however, since you're asking about a specific trans, I'm going to assume budget is a factor, in which case, the easiest way, isn't the cheapest way. If you're capable of swapping drums and clutches, and yes, most of them are the same through the years, then just rebuild the thing.

The band drums do not interchange if I'm thinking right if you can swap clutches into drums i would be a kit and a correction kit and a converter maybe some other goodies tear it down clean everything and rebuild it
