95 K1500 Loud Clunk Turning Left

I have a 1995 k1500 when I turn left at slow speeds like leaving a parking space I hear a loud clunk noise. Any idea what it may be so I can take a look and hopefully get it fixed. Thanks in advance for any help!

Check ball joints first.

There's a dozen possibilities. Ball joints...sure.

Also control arm bushings, tie rod ends, wheel bearings, loose caliper, idler arm, Pitman arm...pretty-much any part of the front steering/suspension.

Did you replace the Pitman arm? I recently replaced it and had to loosen my steering box. As I took my first test drive, I wonder what that clunk is every time I turn. Oh yeah! I forgot to reinstall the steering box! But like @Schurkey said, dozens of possibilities.

I haven’t done anything to it yet but, my steering is very loose. Wheel has play from 12oClock to maybe 2oclock and 10oClock each way. Been busy with work and moving into a new home on Monday. Hoping to get a chance to look into it ASAP!

MAYBE the clunk and the loose steering are related.

More likely, the loose steering is the usual wiped-out rag joint and/or loose-guts steering gear
