93 k1500- Dakota VHX or NVU cluster/ dash?

As title states. im torn between these two. Do any members have insite on why they chose one or the other?

pros for me on nvu ; use factory cluster mount as to retain the PRNDL imdicator, can move gauges where i want them ,
cons ; not really any honestly… but haven’t seen one in person either. Color scheme pics arent really heplful ive seen. The carbon fiber / blue is currently the one im digging, but the nite time pic shows a different panel.

pros for vhx; color options / designs, very user friendly website & detailed pics
cons ; need another 100$ gss300 gear sensor , or buy a column gear indicator


i would love for the intellitronix 92-94 have it set up like a 83-87; or 95-98… then it would be a strong contender..

also the vfd dakota digital Is out; the bar / line doesnt do it for me. Also the color scheme is kinda blah. Just too basic.

are there any im missing? Im out on dakota hdx, holley / efi / anything with a tablet… not putting a dash in worth more thsn the truck.

We make a couple mounts at reversion for holley and Haltech IC7 displays for the 88-94, in case you hadn't seen them. We've worked with OneDash, they're great guys too.

Iirc the larger 10” holley tablets are 1500$, no way I could spend that plus 200 for a mount. (Just rough assuming cost)

At least the 850 for one dash is the tablet and mount.

Do you have the nvu ? From what the guy on phone told me, the indicator lights are now inside the speedo / tach. Also… what color scheme did you get? I know blue backlighting is hell on eyes, but the pics dont realy help at nite the way there site is set up

They are both excellent quality but I like the looks of the NVU. I like their 69 series gauges. I might use those in my Firebird and put the Autometer Z series gauges from the Firebird in Frank.

I like the NVU. After seeing them I want one lol. Bad thing for me is the truck that would get it I will be missing at least 3 lights that are needed and the tach would probably not work.
