Any trucks out there running 78-82 corvette wheels? I haven’t seen it before and wonder if it would be a good combination.

You'd have to run adapters (Corvette is 4 3/4" lug circle as opposed to the 5 on 5" our 2wd trucks use). But they would look cool I think.

I like these. I thought I saw some replicas that were 5 on 5 when I was browsing rallye wheels.

I for one would like the look.

They almost certainly aren't designed to handle the weight of a loaded 1/2-ton truck (with sufficient safety margin), but if the truck's just a grocery-getter... probably fine.

Rally II wheels would look good too.

I'm stealing that idea! Those would look great on my '96.
I'm guessing that they are 15X8?
Wonder what the offset is?
Adapters would probably space them out too far?
I bet common car rotors and axles for the correct lug pattern would be pretty straight forward.
Looks like it's time for a little research.

If memory serves me; the Caprice had the same pattern as half tons (for a while anyway). Wonder what kind of Caprice alloys are out there. Rabbit hole.

About the only Caprice stuff you'll find in aluminum 5x5 are the "mesh" 15" and the Impala SS 17"

The mesh wheels aren't a bad look if you don't mind 15" but I can't say I've seen anyone put them on a GMT400 yet. Surely it's been done, I just haven't seen it.

The Impala SS 17" have been used on plenty of trucks from GMT400's, squarebodies, and even the 1967-1972 (with the 67-70 of course having to be swapped to 5 lug from 6.)

There's an aluminum turbine style wheel that was used on the '91-'96 Buick Roadmaster. It's 5 on 5 like the 2wd trucks use. I have one of them; my Dad was going to use them on a trailer. It's a nice looking wheel, and different if that's what floats your boat.
