4l60e shift kit questions

I'm thinking about installing a shift kit in my 95 k1500. Are there any good brands? what are the pros and cons of a kit. and how difficult would it be for a teenager to do in the high school auto shop? Thanks

I'm assuming your truck has the 4L60E?

EDIT - Just read the thread title, I'm dumb today.

If so, there's only one kit out there that's worth the money IMO. TransGo HD2. It will firm up your shifts considerably.

As far as installation difficulty, couldn't tell you. I left that to my mechanic. Auto transmissions freak me right the hell out.
