Truck in sig, 6 inch lift 35 inch tall tires, 90 percent in town driving 10 percent highway, probably 8 percent of the 10 on the highway it has either a scrap trailer or a full car trailer with my jeep on it.

so would you run 4.56s, 4.88s, or..........

The reason i ask is i ordered over the phone from summit 4.88 gears, well when i got them i have front 4.88s and rears 4.56s so i need to send one back and get the correct one for it, or send em both back and ordered different ratio completly.

Any and all opinions appreciated.

I would say 4.88 at least

Really? 4.56's are optimal for 35's, a touch high actually IMO. My 3.42's turn my 35's just fine. I couldn't imagine stepping it up even that far. I didn't notice much of a power drop off at all from stock tires to my 35's.

ya i have seen the chart. i used it when i picked 4.88s because like i said i drive in town or with a trailer on the highway. Was just looking for people with gear swaps and 35s and see if they where happy or wish they went different.

I am glad you didnt notice much difference. but man i dont know how. I noticed a huge difference with my trailer. i have 3.73s factory and when i went bigger i noticed a difference.

that chart is no where accurate chris. With 35's at 70 im at 2300-2500 I would personally do 4.56's if i were to do it again, but i plan on going to 37's now. so itll be right back to where i want.

With a trailer yah I guess you would. I did notice my speed limit was now about 85 MPH in OD, but that may have had something to do with the condition of my trans for sure. Was only pulling 2300 or so at 85 in OD but if I punched it it would rev up and start to want to go faster but then the torque convertor would lock up again and take me back down to 2300ish. Was weird. If I had had a large trailer behind me I would have struggled for sure. Also not good for my trans, but my 3.42's aren't going anywhere until I SAS and 14 bolt since my truck isn't a DD.
