****.. 7.4 will not bolt up to my 4l60e

its been said that the easiest and cheapest way to make more power, is with more inches

but im thinking i need a built 5.7, will there be computer conflicts does anyone know

it came with a 5.0, maybe i just get the ecm from the 5.7 donor truck

The 7.4 will bolt right up to your 60e, the bellhousing pattern is the same, just like any other GM engine. You will need to use the flexplate that will fit your 60e's TC.

i got to thinking that that truck with the big block would have the 4l80e

as much as id love to have an 80e, im banking on the fact that 4.88 r&p in a 9.5 14sf will save my 60e..

you trans is connected directly to the BBC, it dont care about the gearing or rear, its going to grenade, There is a reason they never made a 454SS with a 700R4/4L60E.
