Got the truck back Sunday night. Still waiting on one fender to come back so front end can be reassembled but anyway, I’ve reassembled the entire interior and what a huge difference that made super happy with the outcome. Can’t wait to see all the trim back on the truck. If I can ever get a tailgate emblem that isn’t damaged that would be great. Let me just say the one from the parts place sucked! The double sided tape they use is absolute garbage that emblem actually started falling off after two days, I decided to order one from AMD and it has 3m tape which is awesome however it has a damaged corner so waiting to get a response from them on how to proceed. Unfortunately I doubt the parts place will do anything because I bought the emblem like 3 or 4 months ago so I dunno.

Truck is fully reassembled, took it on a trip yesterday first half went fantastic then the ride home turned into disaster the trans started leaking fluid looked like pan gasket was leaking so got some tools and tightened it down and made it about 40 miles and it was pouring fluid, found the governor cap was gone no idea what happened to it. I poured the fluid I had left in it and limped it a gas station and had a friend of mine come rescue it. Had another cap and put a new filter and gasket on the transmission and somehow it still has all 4 gears and reverse no idea how. I think the transmission overheated because torque converter lockup was acting up so I disconnected it and think I may have caused it. Either way it safely got us off the side of the highway.

I also noticed the g body Regal. Please enlighten us!!!
Zseventy-one cv axles are super easy on these! The interior panels took some time to find but I managed it.And to answer both of your questions on the Buick it is a 1981 Indy Regal they made 150 cars for Indy and this is car #148 of the 150. I rescued it from a northern Va field. I also have a 1982 Grand National one of 215

Trans seems to be shifting fine. Going to run the fluid that’s in it for about two weeks and then drop pan again to install a new tcc solenoid and install a external fluid cooler. Hoping that the trans will hold up but if not it is what it is it safely got us 2.5 miles off the side of a busy highway with maybe 3-5 quarts left in it. I guess time will tell. Aside from that I’m pretty happy with the truck it is nice to look at
