I had recently replaced the alternator in my obs 1990 4.3 v6 Carbureted engine. The truck originally ran but the bearings were going out in alternator. After replacing it, I have no start just crank, I tried jumping the battery to see if that would work but mishap with a dumb friend of mine swapped the cables on terminal while I put the others on and sparked the battery. I replaced the battery and still have crank and no start, I checked fuses and all good. Most of ignition is replaced from 2 years back. Getting spark at wires with tester and can hear fuel pump kick on, I tried starting fluid too. I had a similar problem in past and it was my ECM but I replace and still no start. Any help is useful, thanks!

You HAVE adequate spark? Carbureted, so no injectors to deal with. Fuel pump runs.

1. Out of gas. Check carb accelerator pump to see if float bowl has fuel.
2. Fouled spark plugs
