1989 k1500 3.0TD

My name is Andreas, i live in Sweden.
This is hopefully going to be my buildthread.

I bought a 1989 k1500 in a pretty bad condition.
It had a 6.2 that had a schwitzer s200 turbo. Ran pretty good but i wanted an diesel with more power than the 6.2 could deliver, and a engine the had a better fuel consumption.
So i got me a om606 turbo instead.

I started to ter doown the car to see how much work i t need.
Had to fix the rust in cab corner and rockers.

Fixed some holes in the roof after a antenna and horns.

Blasted and painted the frame with por15

6 inch drop kit.

Sent the th700 to get rebuild.

i made a set of keys to lower the front of the car.

Almost happy with the heigth. Its going to get 2 inches lower in the back.
Imalso going to lower the body on the frame 2 inches

Welcome to the forum, Dekarson. Your truck and mine are virtual twins. Mine is a 1988 SBSC K1500 in the same color. I don't think my truck knows what that much snow looks like, though. We don't get much here. Did you do a bed swap between the first and 5th post? Keep us posted on your progress !
