My 93 c1500 currently has 15x7 A/R outlaw II wheels with a 3.75” backspace, -6mm offset. Tire size is 235/75/15. I’d like to put on a set of US mag Indys (slots) and I’d like to go to an 8” wheel if possible? I mounted the tire on an 8” wheel just to be sure it would fit and it did, but it was just an old Basset race wheel. They offer a 15x8 with a 4” backspace, -12mm offset. My tires are like new so I’d like to reuse them if possible and then put on on a set of 265/70/15s (after I use up the ones I have) which I believe is the size the 454ss came with. I believe they were also a 7” wheel tho? Is anyone running 15x8s on a 2wd with a 4” backspace and if so is there any clearance issues? Truck currently has stock suspension.

454SSs had 275/60's on a 7" wide 'Sport' wheel.
You'll have no probs with that size at stock height.
That tire size is actually recommended for an 8" wide wheel. Some shops won't mount them on the 7" Sports.
235/75 on 7" wide wheels is the stock size for all C1500's.
That's a pretty narrow tire for an 8" wheel.

Thank you! When I put my 235/75s on a 8” wheel they beaded up fine and didn’t like too “stretched” so I’ll think I’ll be ok that way? I just hate to get rid of them, being that they are new. If they don’t work I’ll just have to get tires sooner than later! I was concerned with an 8” wheel with 1/4” more of backspace, wasn’t sure if there was enough room on the inside for them. And I wasn’t sure what would happen once I got a set of wider tires. I’ll give it a try. I wrote down the corrected 454ss tire size! Thanks!!

That truck is beautiful. No flashy bs on it. Good job.
Thank you I redone the truck after I inherited it when my Dad passed away a few years back, the truck is a c2500 that being said it's a 6 lug and I absolutely hate the big/flat/flashy/goofy clown wheels that are pretty much the only 6 lug wheel option..so I went with a set of original GM Rallys and had them powder coated. And I'm happy with how it turned out compared to the day I brought it home from my Dad's house..I think he'd smile looking at it today..
