‘89 Cadillac el dorado steering wheel on a ‘93 C1500

Hi all, a friend who has a lot of leftover GM parts had a leather wood steering wheel off of an 89 Eldo and I do know that on the older GM columns, you can swap in between different wheels but on this one, it has the telescopic option with the spring and I personally do not want the telescopic but would the steering wheel still fit because it does have a long collar and now that I look at it I don't think It will fit but what do y'all think?
