    Stupid ecm/pcm question

    On a 95 K1500 truck, does the ecm have the same two cable connections on it as a 89 c1500? I know the prom inside is way different in fitment.. I am like Stevie Wonder with ECM crap LOL

    Had fun today, NOT !!

    Went outside to fire up the rusty 95 truck to plow driveway. Starter motor SHOT ! Laid underneath truck at 7 degree temp with Windchill below zero in driveway. Removed starter, hot cable rotted, Ign. wire rotted.. Waiting for next warm day to install new wire, cable, and starter. BUUUUURRRRRRR LOL

    I can't get under my truck for pics, so before it was stored away i held camera under it for pics.. I just went through looking at some and freaked out... never noticed it when I took the pics... Anyone see the scare? LOL

    Teach me BASIC ecm....

    I'm old school Carb guy, tell me just the basics of ECM? in a 89..... Two chips, what are they called and do? What one can fail and the other allows it to still run? the big one or little one? LOL. And does that 86 at the code ANLY mean the year? as in a 86 Vette ecm?

    1989 , 350 with headers, no cat, twin pipes. Vision Legend wheels, Continental tires. Stock paint code, vinyl wrap satin black hood Rally stripes, pinstriped along edge of the wrap. Air in the rear if needed, two bottom license plate holes.

    Colum shift lever selector,

    1989 c1500, Colum shift lever selector, stock cluster. Any postings anywhere about fixing the selector? Think I remember there is a wire? or string line in there? that breaks? So it never shows what gear your in.. sorry pic off center lol..

    Driveshaft angle .......

    Any thoughts on being lowered and driveshaft being straight with no angle? U-Joints in my opinion with shaft should have a bit of angle to perform correctly? not straight?

    1989 C1500, EGR, Headers Question

    Hope I am posting in correct thread area? New here. 1989 C1500 350 motor...... Question when putting on headers am I to DELETE the EGR on the manifold? Thought I read something about that? but can't find it now. Thank You
