Great wheels... What are the from? Any spacers or adapters required? Great stance as well!

    4/6 Drop Tire size.

That's a lot of wheel and tire under there! Do you know the brand of the wheels? That's great that you can get 295s tucked in the back. I'm trying to get a better fitment on my truck, and that info would be helpful. Thx!

    Tire size for 18x10 wheels

I really like the way my OBS looks with 20" wheels, but for city streets, it's a bit rough. I'm thinking hard about dropping to an 18x8 and 18x10 set-up. With this drop, the tires obviously have to tuck under the wheel well. The fronts are easy to find: 245/50 is right at the stock running...

    Do I have a 4/6 or a 5/7 drop

Yes, both upper shock relocators and lower extensions. The geometry is much better now, and the ride is quite firm, especially with the new spring pack (four leafs including the helper spring). It's riding MUCH better than before! Thanks again for all the recommendations!

    Coil-overs: QA1 vs ALDAN

Yes, I do. But the rings would hardly move. If I ever try to adjust them again I think I'll have to pop the lower Control arm loose and give the springs some room to expand.

    Aftermarket center consoles

I went that route, though not so old... just ordered a 99-06 Silverado console. Now to figure out how to mount it securely! Does anyone know... is the hardware for older consoles still available?

    Do I have a 4/6 or a 5/7 drop

The React spindles are on, and I have my 1/2" clearance up front! The washers were not an issue. Everything bolts up and works great. I also removed the bed and installed the upper shock locators. I'm glad to get the geometry back in order. Thanks for the recommendation, Sewlow!

    Coil-overs: QA1 vs ALDAN

I put a set of Aldans on my 93 C1500. They went on easily, and work well, but adjustability is tough. I don't know if it's the pressure from the spring or what, but I was barely able to move the ring at all after installation. I guess you'd have to pop the lower control loose, thereby giving...

    Aftermarket center consoles

Mine is a 93 C1500. I guess it's pretty much the same as the 95+ trucks. I guess I could always go the the pick and pull and see what they have. Or look on eBay and see what people are offering. Thanks for the feedback!

    Do I have a 4/6 or a 5/7 drop

Cross-member notched, and 1" shackles installed. Waiting on extenders, and on the opportunity to lift the bed and install the upper shock relocators as well. One question: has anyone used the React 2" drop spindles with the adapter for OEM brakes? I'm wondering where the washers go, between the...

    Aftermarket center consoles

Has anyone had any experience with aftermarket center consoles? There are quite a few at Summit Racing, but I have no idea how nice they are. Anyone have experience or recommendations to pass along? Aftermarket center console

    Do I have a 4/6 or a 5/7 drop

Thanks for the info, Sew. Yes, I need to add a notch soon. I think getting a set of extenders on the lower end and the relocators on the top will help the ride significantly. I'll be working on all this in the next few days, and will report back! I'm also adding the 1" shackle lift, to get the...

    Do I have a 4/6 or a 5/7 drop

The new spring pack from SD Truck Springs is in place, and the ride is much firmer. I expected to gain an inch or so in ride height, but nope... I actually dropped another 1/2 inch. But even with that, I expect that it will have fewer bottoming / bump-stop moments. I'll probably add the 1-inch...

    Do I have a 4/6 or a 5/7 drop

Again... thanks for passing along your experience with this platform. I've only been in the OBS game for 10 months or so. My 93 has had a lot of work done on it over the years - some well done, some not so great (and as I mentioned, none of it documented, which turns it into somewhat of an...

    Do I have a 4/6 or a 5/7 drop

Sew, thanks so much for that feedback! That describes exactly what I'm experiencing. The truck has decent clearance in the rear, though a little more would be good, to give a little forward rake. But it's bottoming really easily... TOO easily. What you are saying about the springs losing their...

It looks like the truck has the original shackles. I'll take some pics tomorrow of the components and post them.

    Do I have a 4/6 or a 5/7 drop

I picked up a 93 Silverado about a year ago, but unfortunately it didn't come with any receipts or records. I'm looking to do two things: 1) identify what drop the truck currently has (just so I know), and then 2) raise the rear end an inch (i'd like to see it raked forward a bit, and I'd like...

    Alignment on lowered OBS

Well, after yet another attempt to align this vehicle, I've ended up with .3 and .4 negative camber (from near zero on both sides) and a 'slight' improvement in the drifting left and right, but I'm still not satisfied. I want the truck to track straight ahead, and hopefully have a steering that...

OK, Redhead Steering Gear ordered... fingers crossed on this giving me the steering response that I'm looking for. KM

    Alignment on lowered OBS

Well, it seems that I need a new steering box. What are folks using as a replacement, a NOS GM unit? Other units? And where are they sourcing them? Thanks for any suggestions or other info! KM

    Alignment on lowered OBS

Also, doesn't caster work like negative camber when you go into turns, the more the better (up to a point)? Maybe I should at least have them bump up the left caster, to match the right (especially if they say that they can't reduce it any lower than it is)?
