    4l60 to 4l80 swap

you'll probly have to split a 241 to change out the input shaft, 4l80e's output is larger than the 60's, but since your going to do a solid swap, look for a 241 from a 6.5l or larger pickup/surban that already has a solid front. kinda hard to find but they made 241's with passanger side drop

If anyone is intrested, look on montana's craigslist, there's one in kalispel for 750, its a whipple and the only thing it needs is a tensior. not sure if the stock one would work, and its kinda an odd design, the throttle body is mounted on the back, cant be a whole lot of room back there under...

    Timing HELP

still doesn't fire?! make sure you have the firing order right, also check to make sure your getting fuel and spark and everything has been hooked back up, only other thing i can think of would be a intake leak but as long as you used new gaskets, and cleaned the mating surfaces good that...

so in other words deleated? lol or did you clean/replace? kinda curious because yes tbi's are very famous around where i live to take a dive

    Hesitation at partial throttle

haha yes this is why i said "supposed" but even with a stuck open EGR there is pretty little exhaust that recirculates on these pickups, and yes everything else is valid, but i was figuring with a rebuilt block that the timing could be off, some people (like myself) get excited and time by ear...

    Hesitation at partial throttle

sounds like a possible timing issue, EGR is only "supposed" to open at highway speeds, and as for fuel pressure, yea right around 11-14 pound mark but i have seen 20 on a tbi, kinda hard to tell by just what the problem is and not knowing what the A/F ratio is doing at said idle, wanting to...

email harrison performance at [email protected], also go onto his site aat tbichips.com, he can send you in the right direction and re-tune your prom chip after your motor is built, 400 horse is achievable with tbi but extensive mods to the fule system will need to be done

i would fix grounds, pull the dib out, like outalne94z71 said pull the one plug and have someone tap over the ignition till you can feel air trying to excape past your finger, than drop the dib back in with the roter switch pointing at the 1 cylinder (roughly 5 a' clock {again like outalne94z71...

    4l60e-4l80e

yea i seen the sticky but someone on there mentioned that he has done the swap and you don't need to buy the jumper harness and that he made one. as for the 4l60e the factory trans took a dive right at about the 200,000 mile mark, that was with stock tires and pulling a 20 ft trailer loaded to...

    cylinder head help

a valve job is where the will re-grind the seats in order to have the valves seal better, most common is the "three stage" where there is three angles on the valve and in the head. you might want to look at buyin new valves too! summit has there valves for right around 140$ will get you all new...

Next step for more TBI power...

yea that is very true, like stock 265's with 4.11's will scream, but adding a cam with right around .480-.500 lift and a 1800 stall with the gears and then it's mustang murdering time!!

    Which heads?

ok ill take your word's for it. what flaw all need to be clean up? just casting and gasket match? also maybe larger valves like 2.02 and 1.6??? i'd only be into the around 300 if i did, also probaly going to need to cut the spring seats if i want to run a spring and dampner right? i already have...
