Hello, I'm sure this question has been asked. But I might have found a deal.
I have a tired 305 in a 95 with standard trans with synchros going out. I found a guy parting out a 97 1 ton with 350 and standard trans. If I were to buy both and just do a complete swap, would, or should I also buy his pcm? If I didn't buy his pcm, and put his 350 in I would then put a tbi on? Any ideas, or suggestions?

I believe the 305 in your 1995 would be a tbi (thats what mine is) and the 350 in the 1997 is a vortec. So i would grab his ecm and the wiring harness just to keep the vortec. Ive never tried this however but im sure it can be done. As far as throwing your tbi intake on the vortec heads i think you might need a different intake,

It can be done, would be easier to keep it TBI, but you will need an aftermarket intake. Lots of threads out there on dropping in a Vortec and keeping the TBI.

GMPP makes a TBI to Vortec intake. Use that and a matching chip and you're good to go.
