GM LT1 carb intake, TBI to carb adapter, drop the throttle body on it and the TBI distributor. Then do some prom tuning.

Once I knew what I had I searched around a bit. It sounds like the reverse flow cooling with the weird water pump is the hardest thing to overcome if I went the carb intake route.

I would avoid the LT1 personally, just to reduce the time messing around.
