I just Swapped a 12 Valve into my 99 suburban, everything is solid except the engine temp sender. I thinned the harness about 6 weeks ago, and made sure to no cut connectors that i’d Need. Well somewhere I screwed up because my temp sender wire was unplugged.

the diagrams and connector charts state pin C11 is a yellow wire to the connector, but also has a second wire. My temp sender is green, and only 1 wire. Truck was a K1500 6.5L.

thank you.

First Guess: Two-wire sending unit = sending unit for computer. One-wire sending unit = sending unit for gauge on instrument cluster.

At least, that's how the 5.7L engines are set up.

On a gasser the yellow wire is for the two wire sensor that feeds the computer, and the green wire is for the single wire sensor that feeds the dash.
