4L80 1-2 hard shifting now all of a sudden

OK we might have some good news here. Hooked up HP tuners and set up some more throttle positions PIDs... it was set up for my 2000 which is cable throttle. So I rescanned and added the correct throttle PIDs, and it is ALL OVER THE PLACE. Verified by light throttle in the driveway, the RPM's...

4L80 1-2 hard shifting now all of a sudden

Ok not a GMT400 but- Wife’s 2007 Suburban 2500 with 6.0/4L80 started shifting hard been 1-2 recently, during normal driving. Trans was rebuilt about 45k miles ago, been drama free since then until now. Everything else behaves normally. I replaced the filter about a year ago. No SES light, no...

    Alternator slow to start charging

Yep - replaced the voltage regulator. Pretty easy just a little soldering to do, and it seems to be resolved. $28 fix. Also cleaned and greased the needle bearing while I was in there. Before i repaired the alternator i gave the battery a good charge, and started it again to confirm. Got no...

    Alternator slow to start charging

There’s no charge light on the dash, just the low gauge. It did the same thing even after I put the battery on a charger and got back up to full. It’s 4 years old at this point, but I don’t think it’s the issue. Yeah it’s a CS144. Voltage regulator makes sense. I’ll give the wiring a good once...

    Alternator slow to start charging

Thanks for the replies, yeah its the truck in my sig.. 2000 K3500. I am kind of relying on the gauge, but I checked the before voltage with my meter and it showed low, the gauge on mine is *fairly* accurate, at least when its pointing straight up I know its charging. Yeah here in Oregon with...

    Alternator slow to start charging

2000 k3500, 7.4 vortec with 0411 sap: It got cold out, and the truck was weak to start— but it started. Battery was probably a little weak but it did start. However the alternator didn’t start charging right away. It was as of the alternator wasn’t doing anything, verified by 11.2 volts at the...

    Bowtie Brody's Namesake 96 454

I need to do something with my exhaust, it can't stand it. And my theory of ignoring the broken manifold studs until I "do headers someday" is proving to be unlikely to last.... they are starting to leak noticeably now even when warm... ugh....

    12200411 PCM swap for 1996 to 2000 GMT400 trucks

It’s test, really-how bad do you want that 0411? I had to dig into the recesses of the internet to find his email…

7.4 Vortec Intake Manifold Gasket Preferred Brands?

Definitely go with the rtv on the china walls, no issues here doing that with felpros. I also used this stuff called gasoila on the lower bolts that seems to work great, just another option.

    My 454 Rebuild

Too bad... but sometimes you just gotta move on. I don't think a build thread for a GMT800 would be inappropriate-

O2 sensor connector pigtail is gack’ed… pointers on replacing it?

I think I can pull it up from the distributor area and get it from there… I guess it must get hot back there right above the manifold and between the transmission, I can see some other loom also kind of melty back there. I think I have some heat tape somewhere… Yeah I have these nice crimp...

O2 sensor connector pigtail is gack’ed… pointers on replacing it?

That’s what I’m saying I’m going to do, just how to actually access the wiring harness to do it is the question. I’m going to stop by the treasure yard Saturday and grab a connector-
