    SPEEDOMETER intermittent

You're quite welcome. Glad you got it sorted. When I was in the trade, the hardest problems to diagnose were the easiest ones to fix

Reading this posting is more fun than being in a movie theater, sitting in front of a kid with a crinkly cellophane bag of candy. Bring on the popcorn!!:popcorn::popcorn:

    Stering column broken

I would use a column from '94 and back. Starting in '95 GM started to do weird things with the steering columns. Guessing you have a stick trans? You won't need the NSS that's mounted on the column, as the clutch pedal has a safety switch, and the trans has the reverse light switch. The newer...

    SPEEDOMETER intermittent

This may be way out in left field, but how much play is in the output shaft of the transmission?

    Tape Deck Delete

I was in the same boat as you guys when I got my truck. The player didn't work and the PO's hacked off the wires and left the unit laying in the hole. What I did was epoxy a piece of textured ABS panel into the vent panel. If you have a U-pull it yard, look for late 90's early 2000's Full size...

89 silverado gauge swap altenator not charging

When you spliced in the "new" cluster plug into the "old" harness, did you join the three "new" hot wires to your "old" harness? You may have a bad connection at your splice point. The three points of reference on the "new" plug being pins F, O, and U. The one pin on the "old" connector being...

LS swap in 88 k3500 - wiring questions for gauges

You're gonna keep the following wires; oil pressure sender, coolant temp(the one from the side of the driver's side head) and wiper wiring. These go to the bulkhead connector on the driver's side firewall. You'll not use just about All of the wiring going to the passenger side bulkhead connector...

    I Gotta Know!

Going WAY BACK to the opening post, i got to thinking about my '89 RCSB and why. I dreamed of my own hot rod back in the 60's, before Uncle Ho Chi invited me to his party. Then life happened. Had a few close calls with some street rods ('48 Willys, '54 Ford, '68 Chevelle SS, '80 Squarebody), but...
