Crew cab speakers help

It may help to remove the lower portion too. The clips on the back side of my x-cab panels were a pain, so I just took everything out. Be careful not to break off the tabs holding the clips by forcing it. Pull straight out with even steady pressure and it should come off.

Bought some Flowtech shorties off of a boneyard 94 RCSS today for $40.00! They are rusty and muddy, but for the price... why not?! :)

The Stupid Engine Questions Thread

I have an 89 k1500. where is the vehicle speed senor (vss) located on this thing? I looked under it and the only wires I can see are a pigtail going to the top of the transfer case assuming its the indicator light, and one going to the output shaft on the t-case. NP 241C The haynes manual says...

Rant: don't buy Stanley tools

My brother has a Stanley ratchet set that I don`t much care for. As previously said, I don`t like how it feels and seems kinda cheesy. Granted, the cobbled together set of tools I have is far from optimal and has a wrench or socket or extension from every brand under the sun. Strangely enough...

Low idle, stalling- 1988 Chevy K2500 4x4 w/ 350

I know for a fact my egr isn`t working properly with all of the soot stuff I cleaned out, so essentially mine is blocked off too. Any air leaks be it base gasket on the TBI or elsewhere will cause erratic idle and vacuum problems. If the other areas are good, ensuring the TBI base gasket is good...

Header wrap & spark plug boots...

Wanting to put some headers on soon, and wondering about your opinions on these two things. I`ve seen people wrap their headers completely, and seen no wrap too. Also if I don`t wrap them, should I run the little spark plug protector boots? Some people say these are a gimmick and some run them...

Where can I buy 4.10 gears for a good price?

I`m looking into getting new gears for my 89 K1500 ECSB. I have already gone up from stock to 285 75 tires and it caused a little bit of "lag" on acceleration. Currently running 3.73s and using the speed calculators I found online, the difference at 2200 rpms in OD on a 700R4 is about 7 MPH. It...

91 5.7 TBI to Carb

I did that trans swap on an older chevy I had. It IS a direct fit. Make sure you adjust the T.V. cable correctly with your throttle linkage, along with the correct brackets, otherwise your shift points will be messed up.
