+1 for dirty dingo mounts. Mounted up perfectly to my 97 4l60e with the crankshaft spacer
I can also agree with skylark that the best way for the temperature sender is to turn down the gmt400 sender to M12x1.5 threads and put in in the passenger side head.
+1 for LexTech's AC relocation bracket...
That's a good question. I would like to know the answer too. And yes I'd be interested in hearing a sound clip.
I've been looking at these DIDO mufflers. They claim to have an internal X-Pipe. I'm sure not all DIDO mufflers do but these two do...
Do you think you could point me at a tubing kit like the one you used? I really like the way your system looks and if I could avoid buying a bigger kit with more bends than I need that would be fantastic.
Is your truck 2wd or 4wd?
What headers are those?
411 PCM (or LS) swap since it was in some gmt800s? it could probably run most ABS systems from early 2000s. Although I don't think the 411 swap is possible on a TBI.
That sounds like a good idea for your problem. Mine always seems to release just by turning the truck off and or coming to a full stop from speed. Not sure which does it since stopping is necessary before I turn it off.
I just slapped my new out of the box calipers on. They had some grease on the slide pins out of the box so I thought that was good enough. Maybe I was wrong.
Yeah a new one from Rock Auto is nearly $500. Uggh.
That's what I'm hoping it's not. I don't know if the extra pressure that the hydroboost can generate caused the ABS module which might have been on the verge of going out to finally go or something. I don't want to do an ABS delete and I'm pretty sure that a new module isn't cheap... Plus I...
Hey everybody. Looking for some help here with my brake system.
In November I replaced nearly my entire brake system. I also did a hydroboost swap at the same time.
Brand new parts
Rotors
Pads (1/2 Ton)
3/4 ton calipers
All three brake lines (rubber hose)
Master Cylinder
Then...
This is how I used to feel but the guy at the performance shop that I had do my tune on my LS swap said that he's done many builds all the way up to 600HP and they are running stock (gmt800) rear ends with the tru- trac. He said he wouldn't change the axle for anything less than 600HP
I've got it too. I've got one of the BAFX adapters that is about 3 or 4 inches long and in a black plastic case. It was <$20 IIRC.
I love the app a lot. I feel in the dark when I'm in someone's car without it and can't see random things like my throttle position, intake air temperatures, and...
With all this talk of the master cylinder not matching the bigger brakes I'm a bit confused. I can see the reasoning and the engineering logic behind saying that they have to match (and I don't necessarily disagree with it) but what about the hydroboost? The same master cylinder is listed for...
Does anybody know if it will fit? I'd like to be able to use the newer gear selector that has a button on the end of it I could use to enable tow haul mode on my LS swapped truck.
