Not 100% sure but I think there's a difference, I know for a fact 14 bolt SFs found in 2x4s are skinnier than those out of 4x4s

A few simple questions from me:

1995 Tahoe K1500, 1/2 ton, 3.42 rear (GU6), no LSD/Posi, I cant figure out the front axle ratio. I have the RPO codes but can't find anything matching from my RPOs to the RPO sheets I found online, and I can't find any reliable information as to what differential fluid I need for the rear, and what I need in the front.

Some things say use the same, some say use 75 in rear, 80 up front, some say synthetic is best, and others say OEM spec fluid is best..

I found the 'F' codes relating to front end information, and transaxle final drive, and all of my F codes are as follows (including those unrelated to ratio):
FE9 :Emissions
FK2/FK9: LH/RH torsion spring adj
Then my next code is GU6, for my rear end..

What RPO codes within the sheet are for front differential ratio?
What differential fluid should be used in the rear diff, non-posi, with 3.42's?
And when I know the front differential ratio/type, what fluid should be used?

I know for a fact the vehicle was a K1500 from the VIN, and I have physically seen the front differential as well.
Thanks in advance.

Front and rear gear ratios will be the same, if they were different there would be some binding going on when in 4wd. As for gear oil nothing special is needed. I use the lucas heavy duty gear oil in my diffs. 75W90 I think it is.

that sounds right. And if i recall right you dont use anything diff as far as fluid other than adding a posi additive for posi units.

alright here we go... what is a locker for an axle, and i was looking into putting bigger gears in my truck to replace the 3.73 gears with 4.10 but preferably 4.56, i dont want to just do the gearing and open up the axle ill buy it all together. can i replace my 10 bolt rear with a 14? and how would i do that?
