Okay. is GMPP GM performance parts? If they only make 1 intake specifically for it, won't they all be the same? Regardless if buying from GMPP or ebay? That little mod list sounds good for 60 HP. I'd like to do those, a throttle body spacer (just for the hell of it, and the little whistle lol) some headers that would go good with it, and would I need to upgrade the cam at this point or would stock be okay? I've heard these TBI cams are a joke. Also, with the upgraded rocker arms would I need to change the valving or anything else. The heads intake and rockers will all work without weakening any other aspects of the internals

you can change the rocker arms without changing anything else, the reason i say to install 1.6:1 Rockers, is to increase lift, stock is 1.5:1, so its sorta like getting a new cam.

You can buy the intake anywhere you want, but GMPP is the only manufacturer.

Your other choice is to get a carb intake and put a TBI adapter plate on it, cheaper route, but WILL require tuning to get rid of EGR.

Dont care, put an LS in YOUR truck, Not my style. and no way i could even find a LS engine running for under $1000 up here.

BTW, show me PROOF that guys are building 500HP 6.0L's with nothing but a cam, that makes no sense to me.

Lol, re read what I said. Never once did I say you'll find a 500hp 6L with only a cam. I said within a $1500 budget. :read:

I was with you until you made the second paragraph . I run at the track almost every weekend and there no way a stock 6.0 runs 10's. If that is what your buddy telling you . He must have some hell of fishing story. Ls base motor are great but they have there limit just like any other motor.

Cam,tune, stall, gear, so is far from a stock 6.0... If that is stock then my dart 422 sbc is stock.

We're talking engines only, of course the rest of the drivetrain isn't stock. That's just ignorant to even assume such. When I say "stock" 6L I mean stock rotating assembly, heads, intake, etc.

LOL @ the 4.3 comment...

FastOrange thank you for the info man...I cannot put another cam in my 350 TBI without pulling the motor right? If so, that's not happening...Just wanted to get your suggestion on leaving my stock cam or upgrading to a mild one, worth it with said vortec heads and intake? Thanks bro. Btw that ford is the sleepiest ass sleeper I've ever seen.

4.3l is the end all of engines. Nothing on this earth can rival the torque.

If you disagree... then the 4.3 thought you weren't worthy and hide its true potential. Josh and I know... the 4.3s fearsome power.
