A red scuff pad by hand is equal to 400 grit. Make sure also you dont touch the base alot with ur fingers otherwise you will have fish eyes from the oils on your skin in the clear. So best bet is to wear latex gloves when your sanding it and when your tacking it. Also make sure that you dont push really hard with the tack cloth otherwise hou can leave spots from the cloth in the base and it will show in the clear.

Thanks. I think it's damn good for a guy whose painting skills are primarily rattle can.

I have to sand the clear to get some orange peel out of it but i think it's good for my first time!

I want to paint my 94 myself. But luckily my cousin used to be a painter so I have him to help me.

Also for anyone who may read this in the future.

If you use Urethane clear coat DO NOT use mineral spirits to clean out your paint gun! Use acetone. The mineral spirits reacts to the clear and makes a sticky gel-like substance
